Daria Morales

Daria Morales, 75, passed away Saturday, May 13th, 2023. She is survived by: daughter Marie Morales-Reese (Jessie Reese Jr.), grandson Jessie Reese III, foster children Ignacio (Nacho) Cotto, Priscilla Cotto, and Vanessa Cotto, sisters Maria (Betty) Montanez, Anna Rivera, Myrna Montanez, brother Hector Montanez and numerous other brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents Hilario Montanez and Esperanza Montanez, brothers Juan Montanez, Michael Montanez, George Montanez, Ricardo Montanez Vincent Montanez, and niece Ivette Montanez.

Daria lived a full and complete life. She loved being around family. To her family was everything. She also loved to dance, watch novelas, and play Super Nintendo (Super Mario World). One of her most cherished moments was watching TV with her beloved friend Dave Young, in her apartment at Mt. Zion, where her brother Juan worked in maintenance as well. Daria was bold and made sure to speak her mind. She made a difference in every person that she knew and met. No matter the person and their imperfection, she loved and cherished them anyway. Lastly, Daria was also a woman of faith who strongly believed in God and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 21st, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 2:00pm-6:00pm with a prayer at 4:00pm. Pastor Herman Perez officiating.
