David M. Kusza

David M. Kusza, age 59, of Hebron, IN, formerly of Gary, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Rush University Medical Center Hospice.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Lorraine; brother Jerry; brother-in-law, Ken Yatsko; and beloved fur babies, Sugar, Dillinger and Hank.

David is survived by his wife, Kimberly (nee Dunajski) Kusza, whom he married on October 2, 2002; sister, Mary Ann Yatsko; niece, Pamela (Glen) Berg; nephew, Timothy (Shaunanna Philyaw) Yatsko; niece, Sandra (Greg Wisinski) Yatsko; great nephew, Nick; great nieces, Marrin, Della and Edie; sister-in-law, Suzanne (Anthony) Guilfoyle; nephews, Ryan (Kyla Baker) Guilfoyle, Nate (Kendall Hyams) Guilfoyle; and best friend/fur baby Ozzy.

After graduating from Merrillville High School, David began his career at NB Automotive Paint Company from 1989 to 2020, proudly working his way up to Milling Supervisor.  David enjoyed his dogs, target shooting, coin collecting, watching the Bears and White Sox.  He was a lifelong reader of Mad Magazine.  He also enjoyed year round barbequing, listening to music, watching movies from the 50s and 60s and, above all, spending time with his beloved wife Kimberly.  David had a unique and entertaining sense of humor; his jokes and laughter were contagious.

Visitation will be at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland IN 46322, on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 9am to 11am.  Interment Private. David will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
