David Velazquez, de 20 años, falleció el 29 de marzo de 2026. Nació en Chicago, Illinois, el 5 de abril de 2005.
David fue un joven alegre y extrovertido que iluminaba la vida de todos los que lo conocían. Se graduó en 2023 de Hammond Central High School y era conocido por su fuerte ética de trabajo y su personalidad cariñosa. Disfrutaba jugar cartas, pasear por el centro de Chicago y pasar tiempo con sus amigos y su familia. Siempre estaba para los demás, dispuesto a ayudar a quien lo necesitara.
David fue un hijo devoto de su madre, Sandra Velazquez, y de su padre, Fermin Velazquez. Fue un nieto amoroso de sus abuelos, Alfonso y Andrea Velazquez, y David y Eva Flores. Amaba profundamente a su novia, Monse. También fue un querido hermano de Fermin, Arelis, Alfonso, Fernando, Alyssa, Hector, Arianna y Ailyn, y un orgulloso tío de todos sus sobrinos y sobrinas.
David tenía muchos amigos y familiares que lo querían profundamente. Siempre será recordado por su risa, su energía y la alegría que brindaba a quienes lo rodeaban. Aunque su vida fue lamentablemente corta, su recuerdo vivirá en los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron y lo amaron.

El velorio de David se llevará a cabo el jueves 9 de abril de 2026, de 3:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Hillside Funeral Home, ubicado en 8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322.
La Misa de Funeral (Misa de Cuerpo Presente) se celebrará el viernes 10 de abril de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Inmaculada Concepción, ubicada en 2944 E 88th St, Chicago, IL 60617, seguida del sepelio en el Cementerio Holy Cross, 801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409.

David Velazquez, age 20, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 5, 2005.
David was a happy and outgoing young man who brought light into the lives of everyone who knew him. He graduated in 2023 from Hammond Central High School and was known for his strong work ethic and caring personality. He enjoyed playing cards, cruising through downtown Chicago, and spending time with friends and family. He was always there for others, willing to help anyone in need.
David was a devoted son to his mother, Sandra Velazquez, and his father, Fermin Velazquez. He was a loving grandson to his grandparents, Alfonso and Andrea Velazquez, and David and Eva Flores. He deeply loved his girlfriend, Monse. He was also a beloved brother to his siblings, Fermin, Arelis, Alfonso, Fernando, Alyssa, Hector, Arianna, and Ailyn, and a proud uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
David had many friends and family who loved him dearly. He will always be remembered for his laughter, his energy, and the joy he brought to those around him. Though his life was unfortunately cut short, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
David Velazquez will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The wake for David will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home, 8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, April 10, 2026 at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 2944 E 88th St, Chicago, IL 60617 with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409.
