Dawn Marie Stevens

Dawn Marie Stevens, age 65, of Gary, IN, passed away on Tuesday July 27, 2021. She is survived by Loving husband Mark Stevens, 2 brothers, Bill Neering and Dave Cressler (Tina), 4 sons, Shaun Wiltjer-Hunt (Heidi), Tommy Stevens (Jason), Jack, and Marshall,1 goddaughter Amy Lynn, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Dawn was a very good and loving mother, she enjoyed being around and helping everyone. Some of her past jobs were being a teacher’s aide, waitressing, and being a foster parent to many children. She loved playing bingo, but most of all she enjoyed being at the racetrack to support her son Shaun. Dawn got involved with racing at an early age through former companion Billy Bob Wiltjer. She had owned and driven many racecars. Although those racecars are now gone, her racing family still remained. Dawn will definitely be missed by many!

Visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN, 46322 on Sunday August 1, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
