Denise Susan Ozelie

Denise Susan Ozelie, age 56, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

She is survived by her loving mother, Suzanne (Canady) Ozelie; brothers, Ken, Tim, and Mark (Laura) Ozelie; nephew, Bryce Ozelie; niece, Brianna Ozelie; uncle, John Canady; aunts, Nancy Jovanovich, Deb Keeley, Marsha Canady, and Diana Radtke and numerous cousins and dear friends.

Preceded in death by father, Kenneth S. Ozelie; brother, Michael Ozelie; grandparents, Stanley and Marie Ozelie and John and Anna Canady; cousin and best friend, Pam (Canady) Easley; and many others.

Denise was born July 10th, 1968 in East Chicago, Indiana. She was a 1986 graduate of Highland High School. She went on to work at Highland Department Store, then attended Kaplan College where she obtained her Associates Degree in Coding and Billing. She worked in the medical field for Dr. George Tsoutsouris, as his Office Manager for 29 years.

Denise enjoyed taking pictures of others, watching the Cubs, doing crafts, collecting Snoopy figurines, buying Bon Jovi CDs, and listening to all kinds of music. She loved hanging out with her best friends, Lisa (Humphrey) McBride and Pam (Canady) Easley.

Denise was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. She will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block South of Ridge Road), Highland, Indiana, 46322.
