Dennis Panwick

Dennis Panwick, a lifelong resident of Calumet City, IL and who was affectionately referred to as the nicest “grumpy” man they had ever met, went peacefully to his heavenly home on May 19, 2025 at the age of 78.

Dennis worked various jobs throughout his life, his last being a Produce Clerk at Strack’s in Munster, IN from which he retired in 2018. Dennis was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the 19th Combat Engineer Battalion of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Robert & Genevieve nee: (Konieczka) Panwick. He is survived and will be missed by his extended family and friends.

At his request, a committal service will be held in the chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery 801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11:00 am
