Dollie Grace Komoscar

Dollie Grace Komoscar age 73, peacefully passed away at her home on Mar 19, 2026 , surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Komoscar; Children Dawn, Timothy, Tina and Nick. Grandchildren Bailey, Bradley, Noah, Rex, Nina, Emily, Aaron, Scarlett, Alice, and Benjamin. Siblings Jack, Leona, William, and her Twisted sister Rose. Numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Greeting Dollie at Heavens Gate is her Daughter Joy, Parents Kenneth and Jerldean McMahan, Brother Patrick, Niece Tonya and many other family and friends.

Dollie was born on May 26th, 1952 and grew up in Hammond, Indiana where she graduated from Morton High School. She married the love her life, Joseph Komoscar, on July 17, 1971 and shared 55 loving years of marriage. They settled in Griffith and then Portage Indiana where they raised their 5 children.

She was a 30 year employee of Lake Ridge School System where she touched countless children's lives through her various roles in the schools. Dollie loved her career and working to better the lives of “her kids”.

Dollie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and she will be truly missed by all whose life she touched.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 26, 2026 10:00 AM-2:00 PM with funeral services immediately following at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, Indiana. There will be no graveside service at this time.
