Dolores Fejes (nee: Feges) entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the comfort of her home on June 23, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James; devoted mom to James Jr. (Paula), Gail (Cliff Black), Robert (Donna), Julie Shrader (Michael Cox), and Andrew (Michelle); cherished grandmother/nana to Ashley Shrader, Ryan, Ana, Andrew Jr., Jacob, and Angel Morency, and great-grandchild Larry Morency II; dearest sister to Helen Kralovansky (Fred), David (Sue), Donald, and sister-in-law Karen; loving Aunt to many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, nephews, and a treasured friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen Feges and brother Thomas.
Dolores was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She and James raised their family in Whiting, IN. Dolores’ early career was working at the Standard Oil Building in Chicago. As her family grew, she became a stay-at-home mom, working part-time at Hoosier Drug and Burger King. As her children moved out, she found herself providing child care to many children, caring for them as her own. In the latter part of her working life, she worked for the School City of Whiting as a teacher’s aide, school bus aide and was an avid Detroit Lions fan.
Dolores loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would always have a loving word about each and every one of them. They were her world.
Dolores enjoyed playing Bunco with her lifelong and newly found friends. She tried to never miss a monthly Bunco game.
Matthew 25:23 starts, “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Dolores truly lived a great life, and now she is celebrating as she is finally able to be at home with her savior, Jesus Christ.
