Donald Allen Sheaks

Donald A. Sheaks, 68, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023 in Munster, IN with his loving children at his side.

Donald was born on August 26, 1954, in Lowell, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sheaks (Cleta) and Patricia Pate (Wendell), his brothers Dennis and Darryl, and sister Debbie.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Dustin), Kristi (David), Carrie (Matthew), Brittney (Blake); son, Kyle (Monika); grandchildren, Angelo, Braydon, Bryce, Ashlynn, Mia, Brendon, Tyson, and Meadow and loved ones Lisa, Ron, Shane, and Aubrey. He is also survived by his brother, Dave (Vickie), sister, Denise and the mother of his children Darah. 

Don was a roofer who owned and operated Sheaks Roofing for many years. He loved horse racing, coaching softball, golfing, bowling, gardening, and all things sports. He was a one of a kind man who left an impression on everyone he met. He lived for his children and grandchildren, who will miss him deeply. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 6-8pm at Hillside Funeral Home in Highland, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to help cover expenses.
