Donna Hinrichsen

Donna Hinrichsen, 87, of Hammond, IN passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020. She is survived by her grandchildren Jeremy and Juliann, great grandchild Jeremy Hinrichsen Jr., sisters Diane and Darlene, and brother David. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband Robert “Bob” Hinrichsen, son Larry, daughter Roberta, parents Charles and Stephania Johnson, brothers Delbert and Donald, and sister Dorothy.

Donna and Bob married in 1954. They had a life full of family and friends. Donna worked with Bob in the family owned trucking company then later in life was a hostess at Top Notch restaurant in Highland. When Donna was younger, her and Bob loved riding his motorcycle. Donna and Bob were members of the Hammond Moose lodge. Donna loved bowling and collecting angels. Donna loved her pets; she and Bob had rescued several dogs from the humane society over the years. In her later years, she enjoyed going to the casino boats with her sister.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with information to follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local Humane Society.
