Douglas Jurecki

Douglas Jurecki Sr., 77, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Crown Point, Indiana, due to complications from a surgery. His family surrounded him.

His children survive him: Tiffany (Jeff) Nottingham, Kimberly (Scott) Jamrock, and Douglas (Melinda) Jurecki Jr.; his grandchildren: Corey (Kylie) Wolfe, Brianna Wolfe, Dillon, Madison, and Logan Jamrock, Jeffrey (Emelie) Nottingham, Alex Nottingham, Drake Jurecki, and Cailee Jurecki; and his great-grandchildren: Grace Lovejoy, Clara Nottingham, and Caden Wolfe, and one brother, Dale Jurecki.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lauraine Jurecki; his brother, Joseph Jurecki; and his sister, Pam Combs.

Doug was born on August 12, 1948, in Hammond, IN, and graduated from T.F. South High School in 1967. He worked at Commonwealth Edison for over 25 years before retiring early and moving to Florida, a place he truly loved.

Doug enjoyed watching football, spending time swimming, and embracing the simple pleasures of life. In the later years of his life, he came to a strong and personal faith in Jesus Christ, confident in his desire to spend eternity in heaven.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on October 5, 2025, at Crossroads Church, 1538 Janice Drive, Schererville, IN. 46375 at 1:00 pm. There will be no visitation or viewing beforehand.
