Edward Kosior

Edward Allen Kosior, age 70, of Highland, IN passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. Ed was born June 14,1949 to Edward and Rose (Smolen) Kosior. He grew up in Whiting, Indiana and graduated from Bishop Noll in 1967. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent time in Vietnam defending his country. After his time in the service he married Marilyn (Nelson) Kosior, they enjoyed 40 years of marriage and raised two children Adam and Amy. He was a beloved Papa to his grandchildren Declan and Abigail.

Ed retired from Mittal Steel after 40 years. He spent his retirement fishing at Duck Lake in Gobles, Michigan, where he never met a stranger. No one ever had an empty stomach when Ed was around. He loved cooking, grilling and feeding his friends. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears and White Sox fan.

Ed is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Nelson) Kosior; his son, Adam Kosior, daughter Amy (Zach) Chernovsky; grandchildren Declan and Abigail; sister Kathy Tallman, niece Sara Tallman. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Rose (Smolen) Kosior, his sister Bara Kosior, his brother-in-law Pete Tallman, and nephew Eric Tallman.

A celebration of life will take place at the American Legion in Highland, Indiana at a future date.
