Elouise L Schaller

Elouise L. Schaller, 102, of Highland, IN, peacefully passed in her home on July 15, 2020. Preceding her in death was her husband of 75 years Donald. Don and Elouise owned Calumet Rentals in Highland until retirement. They loved to travel, antique, and enjoyed the friendship and antics of the Model A Club. Elouise graduated from Roosevelt High School in East Chicago. She was a long time member of Psi Iota Phi Society, Pinnochle Card Club, and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Elouise was a member of Duneland Weavers Group and so enjoyed weaving and the close friendships with the other members. All that have known Elouise marvel at her quick wit, gentle soul, and fun loving nature. She was content to observe nature, support and encourage others, and to joke and laugh. Her patient, loving personality was enjoyed by many.

Elouise is survived by: son Arthur (late wife Anne), daughters Susan (Doug), and Linda (Roger), grandchildren Soren (Molly), Erica (George), Jennifer (Jed), Veronica (Matthew), late Peter, Marshall (Simona) and Patrick, great-grandchildren Annika, Matthew, William, Austin, Adelle, and Michael.

A Graveside Service will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery, 4401 W Ridge Rd, Gary, IN, 46408 Saturday, July 18, 2020. A procession to the cemetery will begin at 9:30 am at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In Elouise's words "Go have some fun". See you over here, over there, or in the air. Bless you all.
