Erna A. Keown

Erna A. Keown, 89, of Griffith, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.  She is survived by her two devoted children, Gene & Cindy; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous additional loving family and friends.  Erna was preceded in death by her dear husband, Eugene and her son, James.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2019, at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana 46322.  A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, immediately following visitation. Rev. Theodore Mens, officiating.  Interment, Ridge Lawn-Mount Mercy Cemetery, Gary, Indiana.

Erna was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, Indiana, and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
