Eva Irma Medina

Eva Irma Medina age 95, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Amanda (Jesse) Sanchez; two sisters, Emilia Gallego and Octavia Leah; grandchildren, Amanda Bond (Abeyta), Walter Jr. Abeyta and Casey Abeyta; great-grandchildren, Ryan McGee, Justin McGee, Isabella Bond, Jasmine Bond, Leah Abeyta, Isaac Abeyta, and Nova Abeyta and many nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Ramiro Medina; parents, Arturo Medina and Eva Hernandez; brothers and sisters, Arturo Medina, Efrain Medina, Joe Medina, Luz Lenart, Beatriz Arana and Laurentina Medina.

Eva was born on January 2, 1931 in Laredo, Texas. She moved to the region and married Ramiro Medina. She worked at Teibels restaurant and many other places. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family all the time.

Eva was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Eva will be laid to rest privately by her family alongside her beloved husband, Ramiro at St. John / St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
