Evan James Demaree

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evan James Demaree on January 21, 2025, at the age of 32. Born in Munster, IN, Evan was a devoted father and husband and a unique soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew him

Evan was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, his generosity and kindness knowing no bounds. His family and friends were his greatest treasures, and he approached life with a curious mind and a passionate heart. A lover of history, music, and the intricate beauty of watches, Evan found joy in the stories these held. He delighted in learning and exploring the world, always seeking wisdom and guidance in the principles of stoicism. True to himself in every way, Evan brought thoughtfulness, dedication, and warmth to all he did, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Although Evan is gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, and their children, Aria (5) and Desmond (2); his parents, Eileen Demaree (Kozlowski) and James Demaree; his brothers, Kyle  and wife Holly (nee' Blair) Demaree and Jesus Demaree; his aunt, Susan Demaree; and his grandmother, Darlene Demaree (nee' Sherrill).

Evan was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, William Demaree.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Crown Point, IN.
