Gail Elaine Fisher

Gail Elaine Fisher, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

She is survived by her children, Steven, Richard (Janice), David; grandchildren, Douglas Hrdina, Nathan, Caira, Neo; sisters, Phyllis (Tom) Hickman, Candace Sage, brother, Ted Cook; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Theresa Cook.

Gail was born March 13, 1944 in Hammond, IN and was a 1963 graduate of Griffith High School. She went on to proudly raise 3 children. She was an active and proud member of the Griffith First Christian Church.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, exploring the region with her “Elderberries” group, and spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

Gail was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 9:00a.m – 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Funeral Home 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN 46322. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
