George H. Mose

George H. Mose, age 89, passed on to be with the Lord while at home and surrounded in love by many family members and friends, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Mose, sister, Nancy (Phil) Poirier, sons, Mike (Kathy) Mose, Mark Mose, and daughter, Cynthia (Andrew) Mose-Trevino, grandchildren, Jashua (Brandy) Mose, Bryan (Rachel) Mose, Jennifer (Jacob) Anderson, Matthew Dillman, Noah Trevino, Michael Bandura, Conner Mose, Everly & Emercyn Trevino, great grandchildren, Cole, Ulliam, and Levi, along with many other loving family members and friends. George was preceded in death by his mother, Elisabeth Mose, father, Ross Mose, brother, Walter Mose, daughter, Maureen Mose, and son, Matthew Mose.

George was born on February 2, 1936, in Hammond, Indiana and grew up in Highland, Indiana, and resided in Gary, Indiana until his passing. After graduating from Griffith High School in 1954, George went on to become a Journeyman Plumber for over 40 years, working for most of his career with Gatlin Plumbing. Upon retiring as a Plumber, George worked as a Lake County Building Inspector until he finally retired at the age of 83.

George loved fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing, and football. George was a man of great faith and known for his loyalty, willingness to help others, work ethic, and vast craftsmanship. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners for over 40 years and a member of Momentum Church. George will be missed by many.

Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN, 46322 with a Funeral Service at 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred towards Hospice of the Calumet Area.
