Gertrude Scheeringa

Gertrude Scheeringa, 93, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 4, 2021. She is survived by: daughters Bonnie (Jim) Winters, Barb (Craig) Moore, and Brenda Medema, grandchildren Larry (Amy) Winters, Julia (Rich) Fink, Rodney (Rachel) Vander Woude, Lauren (Ryan) Towasnicki, Zachary Moore, Mandi Medema, and Trisha Medema, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brother John (Chris) Holleman, sisters-in-law Elaine Holleman and Carroll Holleman, and many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces. Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Laurence, of 62 years, parents Egbert & Jennie Holleman, sisters and brothers Ann (John) Zandstra, Bertha (Nelson) Van Milligan, Viola Holleman, Gerritt (Elaine) Holleman, Wilma (Ray) Venstra, Edward Holleman, and June Holleman.

She was a member of Community United Reformed Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am. Burial Service will be private.
