Glen E. Redding Jr. 52, of Lansing, IL passed away on October 1st, 2025. He was born to Glen E. Redding Sr. and Geraldine (Kaffer) on June 22nd, 1973, in Canton, IL. He was also raised by his stepfather, Paul Gourley. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, stepfather, and one nephew. He is survived by his loving partner, Angela Flores; daughter, Sabrina Redding; son, Brandon (Mya Velez) Redding; stepson, David Purcell; and two grandsons, Jordan and Avery Miller. Also surviving are his sisters: Lynn (Jay) Sutton and Christy (Manny Newman) Greathouse; three uncles, James (Pam) Kaffer, Jim Redding, and Tim Sheets; one aunt, Lisa (Ryan) Birmingham; four nieces, one nephew, six great nieces and nephews, many nieces and nephews from his stepfather’s side; and many cousins.
He was always the first to offer a helping hand, never hesitating to support others in any way he could. The love he had for his family was not only deep; it was constant, steady, and felt in every moment shared with him. He had a great sense of humor and a playful spirit; someone you could always laugh and joke around with. Just as easily, he was the type of person you could sit down and have a deep, meaningful conversation, knowing he would truly listen and understand.
His knowledge and love for aquariums, mainly saltwater, was vast and never ending. He was very proud of all his aquariums, whether freshwater or saltwater. The work and dedication he put into them made them truly special. Along with aquariums, he also loved dogs and cats whether they were his own or others. The breed of dog did not matter; he loved them all. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding bicycles. The love he had for Angie, his family, and friends was endless.
Cremation rites have been accorded. In keeping with his wishes, there will not be any services but a Celebration of Life at a later date.
