Obituary
Gloria L. (Melendes) Rodriguez, 87, of Highland, passed away June 16, 2022. She was born in East Chicago, Indiana to John Melendes Sr. and Mary (Haluska) Melendes on May 4, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Hank”, her parents, and brother-in-law, Bob Hicok. Gloria was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School.
She is survived by her son Henry Jr., her two sisters Bonnie (late Bob) Hicok, and Debra Melendes, and one brother John Melendes. Brothers-in-law Harry and George (Esther) Rodriguez. Many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 24, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Church 3025 Highway Avenue, Highland, Indiana at 10:30 AM with Reverend Brian Chadwick officiating. Visitation will be at the church prior to the mass beginning at 10:00 AM.
