Harold "Sam" Wilson

Harold “Sam” Wilson , age 88, of Lowell, IN, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Harold was born on June 13, 1934 to Harold and Thelma Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy (Yaple) Wilson, children, Valerie (late Robert) Timm of Highland, IN, Daniel (Dora) Wilson of Lowell, IN, Glen (Cheryl) Wilson of Syracuse, IN, Amy (Ron) Kasza of Porter, IN, Patrick (Ly) Wilson of Lebanon, IN, Craig (Jennifer) Wilson of Lowell, IN. Grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Timm of Joliet, IL, Tobi Timm Wiley of Golden, Co, Brannon (Vanessa) Wilson of Syracuse, IN, Melissa (Robert Schultz ) Timm of Griffith, IN, Amanda (John) Battey of Lowell, IN, Aaron (Naoko) Kasza of Bloomingdale, IL, Kelli (josh) Richardson of Chesterton, IN, Patrick (Hayley) Wilson of Kingsport, TN, Alex (Ericka) Wilson of Greenwood, IN, Melanie (Brian) Brazill of Avon, IN, Chesney Wilson of Lowell, IN, and Savannah Wilson of Lowell, IN. Also survived by 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harold and Thelma (Scofield) Wilson, sister Sherrill Braselton, brothers Raymond Wilson and James Wilson.

Harold worked at Wisconsin Steel Works for 27 years from 1954 to 1981. He also had many other jobs once he left the mill. He liked to stay busy. He officially retired in 2014 at the very young age of 80.

Harold loved to golf, fish and in his younger years, bowl.

Harold found special joy in being with his “little” family. He loved watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and took special pride in their accomplishments.

Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church, 520 E Commercial Avenue Lowell, IN on Friday December 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with service starting at 11:00 AM. There will be a luncheon immediately following in the church hall.
