Helen Melissa Petersen

Melissa Petersen passed away at the age of 51 in Highland Indiana on June 3 2022.   Born on March 20th 1971 to Michael and Kristy she was a loving daughter, mother, sibling and friend.

Melissa endured all that life had to hand her.  Even the most difficult of times would be handled by her with a "straightening of her tiara" and pushing forward.  She processed a strong willful and unique personality. 

She was an avid reader and earned through hard work degrees in both social work and as a paralegal. She worked in both fields for many years. She loved live music and spending time with family and friends. 

She is predeceased by her father Michael and leaves behind her mother Kristy and her son Jacob as well as many broken-hearted family and friends.  

A celebration of life to be planned at a future date.
