James Paul Flynn, known to his friends as “Bones”, 42, of Hammond, IN, (formerly of Lowell, IN) passed away Sunday May 24th, 2020. He was born on May 29th, 1977 in Chicago, IL to James and Kathleen Flynn. He is survived by his two daughters, Aubrey and Jamie; his siblings Kelly, Jeffrey, and Sean;his mother Kathleen, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father James and brother Brian. He was a wonderful father, uncle, son, brother, and friend.
James attended Gavit High School and worked as a mechanic and crane operator for the majority of his life. He had a love for automotives, especially race cars and demolition derby cars. He was known for his goofy and comedic personality. He had a very creative mind, and showcased that every Halloween with his custom homemade costumes. He was loving to everyone around him and was the most generous man. His generosity and love will continue on through the lives he helped by donating organs to those in need. In honor of him, be generous whenever you are given the chance. Give to those in need or make someone smile. Spread love wherever you get the chance, and remember him when you do so.
Visitation will be held June 3, 2020 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Per his wishes, he will be cremated after visitation.
