James Harris

James Harris, age 71, peacefully passed away on August 8, 2025.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda K. Harris; children: James L. Harris, and Tina Jones (James Moss); grandchildren: Amanda Jones, William Jones Jr. (Megan Jones) and Hailey Jones; great-grandchildren: Ariana, Aubree, Jace, Liam, Gracie, Hazel, Parker, Anna, and Eerian; siblings: Charles W. Harris (Freda Harris), Ron E. Harris (Dorothy Choate), Don S. Harris (Penny Harris) and Joan Pope ( Tom Choate).

James is preceded in death by his parents, Martha E. Harris, and Charles Harris Jr.

James was born August 5, 1954 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and passed away August 8, 2025 in Hobart, Indiana.

James loved his wife very much as they have been married for 42 long years. He also enjoyed watching his western movies, football, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed playing cards in his spare time with his wife and sister. He will be truly missed by his loved ones. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 9:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
