James Thomas Huskisson "Ringo" age 75, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Huskisson (Donna Southard); grandchildren, Ciara Huskisson, Jordan Southard, Amber Whitaker and Devon Southard; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Tompie and Thelma Huskisson and sister Ruddle Huskisson.
James was born December 17, 1948 in Chicago Heights, IL. James went on to proudly serve in the United States Army from 1967-1970. On March 6, 1971, he married the love of his life Phyllis Edwards, and together they shared 51 years of marriage. Settling in Hammond to raise their family where he coached his son in baseball for many years. James retired from American Steel Foundries in Hammond.
He’s been an active member of The Indiana Patriot Guard.
James was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
The Memorial Service will follow beginning with Military Honors at 6:00 PM followed by Pastor Craig Harper and concluding with a tribute to "Ringo" by the Indiana Patriot Guard.
