James "Jim" Kelly

James "Jim" Kelly, 69, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023. He is survived by: Pamela Kelly, son Andrew (Jaclyn) Kelly, and grandchildren John and William. Preceded in death by: Parents John and Betty Kelly. 

Jim had a love for his grandchildren and of sports, especially basketball and the Chicago Cubs. Jim worked at St. Francis de Sales High School for 33 years as a basketball coach, substitute teacher, sports announcer and transportation director. During his time at St. Francis, Jim touched the lives of many in the community. 

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN 46322 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will take place Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10 am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church (formerly St. Florian Church) 13145 S Houston Ave, Chicago, IL 60633. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
