James William Hoogeveen Sr.

James William Hoogeveen Sr., 78, of Highland, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.  He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Gloria, beloved children: James (Kimberley) Hoogeveen Jr., Chris (Terri) Hoogeveen, Tammy (fiance Darwin) Anderko, dear grandchildren: Joshua (Eva), Adriel, Sophia, Conor, Mac, Chloe (Adam), Stewart, Luke, five loved great-grandchildren, and numerous additional loving family and friends.  James was preceded in death by his son-in-law Jack Anderko.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with a service immediately following at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow the service at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.

James "Hog" was retired from Inland Steel after more than 30 years of service.  In lieu of flowers donations to the William J. Riley Memorial Hospice House, Munster, Indiana in James' honor would be appreciated.
