Janet "Jan" Bartok

Janet “Jan” Bartok, age 87, of Munster, IN concluded her earthly journey on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

Jan’s married life consisted of a stay-at-home mom to raise her daughters. After the passing of her husband, while the house and yard upkeep kept her busy, she did work for a period at a medical clinic. She was a member of South Side Christian Church in Munster and adored the ladies in her Ruth Group, as well as, serving in various support position at South Side. Jan’s faith in her Lord and Savior sustained her daily, she loved both her human family, the many “fur babies,” her dear friends, and all her sisters and bothers in Christ. Jan will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters Marcia Bartok of Minot, ND and Gayle Kaczmark and son-in law Mike Kaczmark of Highland, IN; grandson Daniel Kaczmark and wife Cassie of West Lafayette, IN. Preceding her death was her beloved husband, William (Bill) Bartok; parents Harold and Charlotte Longnecker and her two bothers Harold and Burton (Burt) Longnecker.

Private family services and internment will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN. In remembrance contributions can be compassionately made to the Hospice of the Calumet Area William J. Riley Memorial Residence in the memory of Janet Bartok.
