Janey P. (Hall) Van Woerden

Janey Van Woerden, age 81, from Crown Point, IN, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her five children John C Van Woerden Jr. , Kevin (Lori) Van Woerden, Denise Fronek, Cathy (Brian) Harwood, and Eric Van Woerden. Known as Meme to her surviving seven grandchildren, Cody (Rachel) Van Woerden, Christina (Brian) McMahan, Rachael (Josh) Hornback, Sarah Fronek, Caitlynn Harwood, Jacob Fronek, and Brianna Harwood. And her eight great-grandchildren Chloe and Blakely Van Woerden, Bentley,Cora,and Bryson McMahan, Logan, Dylan, and Keaton Hornback. As well as her siblings Myra Gotch and Sylvester (Joan) Hall.

Janey was preceded in death by her husband John Van Woerden Sr and her parents Silvester and Mildred Hall. Brothers, Jerry, Ronald and Donald Hall, daughter in law Joyce Van Woerden.

Janey loved to read and do Sudoku puzzles. She also had a love for Snow White and had a room fully decorated of her collection. She enjoyed having her home decorated with every holiday. (Hallmark knew her well) But the joy of her life was truly her children , grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will deeply be missed by all of the lives she has touched.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland IN.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, Indiana
