On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, Jason Samis suddenly passed away.

Jason is survived by his parents: James (Linda) Samis and Diane Samis (née Rivera); his loving children: Ava Samis, Deacon Samis, Ella Samis; siblings: Gina Samis, Rachel Samis: uncle: Robert Rivera; nieces and nephews: Dante, Emilio, Cassidy, Issac, and Viviana.

Jason was born May 24, 1982. He graduated from Hobart High School. Jason remained in Indiana most his life, helping his family while building his own. He endured many struggles in life, but proved each time he was able to bounce back with resilience.

He enjoyed lots, especially when his children joined in. He enjoyed fishing even when their catches were always small, playing pool at the bowling alleys until it was dark outside, making challenging bets with his son on upcoming UFC fights. He liked trying his children’s hobbies too, like painting, which he did very abstractly.

Jason was a loving and protective son, father, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed deeply by everyone he crossed paths with.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM, following Visitation will be Funeral Services at 6:30 PM all at Hillside Funeral Home 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN.
