Jeremie Lee Songer

On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Jeremie Lee Songer, passed away suddenly, at 32 years young.

Jeremie was born May 18, 1988 in Michigan City, IN to Joe and Donna Songer. He grew up in NWI and attended HS in Lake Station, IN. He was passionate about residential construction and took immense pride in the work he performed.

He was funny, charismatic and had the soul of a nomad. He loved poetry, drawing, trying new things and being the center of attention. Jeremie was a master story-teller with the ability to make you believe the sky is anything but blue. His infectious smile could easily get him off the hook. His fun-loving personality reserved him a forever seat at the kids table.

Jeremie was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Donna Songer. He leaves behind two daughters, Emily Whitmore and Paisley Songer, companion Britany Shepherd, siblings Jeanine Songer, Joe Songer Jr, Charity Graham and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (just south of Ridge Road) in Highland, Indiana, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, with a service beginning at 1:30 pm.  Masks and social distancing are required.
