Jerry Schwieger Obituary

Jerry Lee Schwieger, 73, of Hammond, Indiana, peacefully passed away, while surrounded by family, on November 15, 2025.

Born on March 23, 1952, Jerry was a graduate of Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois. He went on to spend many dedicated years working at Rayco Steel as a forklift operator until he retired. He was respected for his reliability, steady work ethic and sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Jill Warren, and his three grandchildren: Prudence, Cooper-Wyatt, and Piper, all of North Carolina.

Jerry is also survived by his siblings: Patricia Underhill of Illinois, Donald Schwieger Sr. of Florida and Regina Schwieger of California as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by Pamela Schwieger, John Schwieger, Betty Fliris and Donald Schwieger Jr. who welcomed him into eternal rest.

Jerry will be remembered for his love of music and sharing it while playing his guitar and harmonica.

His presence will be missed by all who knew him.
