Jesse Aguilera, age 86, passed away January 29, 2025.
He is survived by Patsy, his wife of 34 years, children: Jessica (Carlos) Garibay, William (Lori) Aguilera, Kimberly (Ed) Sosby, Daniel (Monica) Burke, David (Kelly) Burke, Mark (Michelle) Burke, sisters: Lydia Villarreal, and Yolanda Aguilera. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Luis and Angela Aguilera, brothers Luis Aguilera, Joe (Lalo) Aguilera, Robert Aguilera, John Aguilera, and sisters Amelia Aguilera, and Antonia Flores.
Jesse was born in East Chicago, Indiana on August 31, 1938 and served in the Navy.
He was employed at LTV for 42 years, worked for Hammond Emergency Services/Civil Defense, bartended at the Hammond FOP, was a worker and canteen driver for the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Team, worked in Hurricane Rita and Katrina ravaged areas. He was a member and officer of Pan American Golf Association of East Chicago, played pinochle in St. John. Cedar Lake, Munster, and Lansing/Cal City.
He was a loving husband brother, brother, uncle, god father, and friend. He will be missed dearly as a friend and part of his family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 with a Memorial Service at 6:30 pm.
