Jesse Gamez

East Chicago, IN.- Jesse Gamez, age 85, passed away on July 27, 2018. He was at home surrounded by his loving family. Jesse was born on June 22, 1933, in East Chicago, IN. to Jose and Maria Gamez. He is survived by his children: Susan, Roseann (Joaquin Rivera), Steven (Jennifer), Joseph, Cynthia, Robert (Debra), David, Janet, and Nicole; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Jesse was proceeded in death by: his loving wife Rose, daughter Elaine, daughter-in-law Donna, four sisters, and eight brothers. He is a retiree of Inland Steel with 45 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed: carpentry, fishing, camping, swimming, and always looking for a good bargain at the segundas. Jesse had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted husband of 66 years and a loving father. He will be dearly missed, but he will be always remembered. 
Visitation will be held on August 1, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home 8941 Kleinman Rd. Highland, IN. 46322. from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on August 2, 2018 at St. Patrick's Church in East Chicago, IN. at 10:00 AM.
