Joel Bratcher

Joel Frances Bratcher, age 59, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021. Preceded in death by: mother Virginia Bratcher, father Virgil Bratcher, grandmother Margaret Myer Dutton, grandfather Frank Dutton Sr., uncle Frank Dutton Jr., aunt Harriet H. Demchok, and brother Jerry Bratcher. He is survived by: wife Sharon Bratcher of Gary, four brothers Lee Bratcher of Wisconsin, James Bratcher of Texas, Michael Bratcher of Dyer, IN, and Rev. David Bratcher of Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. 

Joel was a lifelong resident of Griffith until moving to Gary. Joel was a proud graduate of Griffith High School Class of 1980. He was a longtime member and past president of the Moose in Hobart. He was also a longtime Cubs and Bears fan. Joel was a parent to several fur babies. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
