John Franklin Arnold Jr.

John Franklin Arnold Jr. age 86, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bette Ann Arnold; sons, Dave (Mia) Arnold and Donald Arnold Sr.; grandson, Donald Arnold Jr.; brother, Richard Arnold; brother-in-law, Mick (Jackie) Retheford; niece, Jennifer (Dave) McClure; nephew, Jim (Mallory) Retheford; great nieces, Lauran, Sidney and Tatum and great nephews, Ryan and Aaron.

Preceded in death by his father, John Arnold Sr.; mother, Lilyan Rife and grandson, Kyle Arnold.

John was born February 5, 1938 in Gary, Indiana and proudly served our country in the US Army 1961-1963. He retired from Inland Steel. John and Bette enjoyed traveling often visiting Branson, Missouri and Mackinac, MI. He truly enjoyed fishing and cycling.

John was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
