John Michael Anderson

John Michael Anderson age 63, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2023. He is survived by parents, Philip and Marilynne (nee Ifland) Anderson; daughters, Melissa Latronica and Amanda Latronica (Anthony DeBorde); brothers, Philip (Debbie) Anderson and David Anderson; sisters, Sandra Wayco (Jim Mohoi) and Mary Ortman; grandchildren, Alexis, Anastasia, Vanessa and Lyvvie, many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by loving wife, Dawn Anderson.

John worked for 41 years at a chemical manufacturing plant, retiring as a supervisor in the lab. John dedicated his life to helping others in their recovery, whether it was a shoulder to lean on, a word of encouragement or advice, or just a home cooked meal.  One of his passions was taking his boat out on the water and spending the day fishing. Many memories were made while attending his yearly fish fry. One of his great loves was his granddaughters who gave him his greatest joy. His other enjoyments in life besides family and friends were music, the Chicago White Sox and his beloved Chicago Bears.

John was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, nephew and uncle and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family will be given to an organization that was very dear to John.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
