John Timko Jr.

John Timko, 89, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023. He is survived by loving wife and best friend, Mary Timko; children, Mark Timko, Scott Timko, Laura Salee and Charles Timko; grandchildren, Jessica Timko, Jonathan Timko, Daniel Timko, Zechariah Timko, Micah Timko, Lukas Salee and Connor Timko. John was also a grandfather-in-spirit to Franco, Giovanni, and Carmelina Komyatte. Preceded in death by parents, John and Josephine Timko.

John was a very giving and caring person. He loved fishing, carpentry, solving puzzle books and taking day trips with his beautiful wife and mother-in-law. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and member of the St. James the Less Catholic Church of Highland, IN.

Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Father Gregory Bim-Merle leading a Prayer Service at 4:00 pm.

John frequently donated blood to the American Red Cross and the family asks in lieu of flowers, please consider donating a pint of blood in his honor.
