Jose graduated from Roosevelt High School in East Chicago, Indiana 1983.

Jose worked at Community Hospital for 39 years. He volunteered with Salvation Army for many years along with his mother.

He had a passion for music. He loved playing music with various bands including Together, Los Cordoba, Sabor Latino and Tonal Attitude. He played trumpet but also displayed his musical talents by playing various other instruments for them and would sing backup. He was always generous with time and had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He will be dearly missed by many friends he had since childhood and the many who instantly became friends with him because of his wonderful personality.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at St. John/St. Joseph Catholic Cemeteries.
