Joshua Aaron Gonzalez

Joshua A. Gonzalez age 38, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Joshua was born February 3, 1988 in Munster, IN. He was a 2006 graduate of Griffith High School and a 2011 graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette where he received a BA degree in Building Construction Management. Josh was a Project Manager for several construction companies in Chicago and Atlanta.
Josh enjoyed spending time with his children, family and dear friends, especially if it included playing or watching a sport. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a four-year letterman in football at Griffith High School. He passed on his love to his children: watching and supporting Joshua and Paula in their different activities. Josh was eager to coach Joshua in baseball, lacrosse, football and flag football. He was a diehard fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Alabama’s Football Crimson Tide.
He is survived by his loving children Joshua and Paula Gonzalez, parents Eddie and Elizabeth Gonzalez, and brothers Omar (Jennifer) Gonzalez and Jordan Gonzalez; nephews Cameron, Carson, Carter, Landon and Luca; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Mauro and Oralia Gonzalez, maternal grandparents Manual and Paula Tellez, aunt Patti Tellez and cousin Freddy Tellez.
Joshua was a loving father, son, brother, nephew and friend. He will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church located at 500 Northgate Drive Dyer, IN.
Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 8178 Cline Ave. Crown Point, IN.
