Judith “Judy” Witkowski 08/16/1944 – 01/12/2022 Hobart, IN
Judy passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She is survived by her 5 children: Joseph (Janice) Witkowski, Julie (Frank) Martin, Michael (Lizzet) Witkowski, David (Julia) Witkowski, and Jason Witkowski; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Diane Spedus and nephew Christopher (Colleen) Spedus, aunt Carol Horvath who was more like a sister than an aunt, cousins Jill (Mike) Haas and Madison Haas, and exhusband Larry with whom Judy remained friends over the years. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Florence Guzik and uncle William Horvath.
Judy spent her life in Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area where she raised a family of five children. She retired from JCPenney after many years in retail. Some of her greatest joys in life were watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up and spending weekend nights at Raceway Park. Judy was a big fan of NASCAR and enjoyed collecting racing memorabilia. When she became homebound , she joined Facebook where she became a part of the online gaming community, making lots of friends along the way. Judy will be truly missed by all those who knew her.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 17, 2022 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322. from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
