June C. Phillippe (Williamson), 78, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025 to be with our heavenly father.
She is survived by her children Lisa Rouse, Carl (Angel Praski - Watkins) Phillippe, Grandchildren Nicolaus, Erika, and Jacob Rouse, Brother Wayne (Darla) Williamson, Brother-in-Law Randy (Steve) Phillippe, Special Friend and Sister Bede Sandefeur, Granddog Stella, The Round Table Ladies, Bunco Sisters, Terrace Park Church of God Family, wonderful neighbors and many, many, nieces, and nephews.
Daughter to James and Cora Williamson, June was born July 3, 1946 in Russellville, Arkansas. Moved to Chicago and then Hammond with her family, she proudly graduated from Morton Senior High School in 1964, married to the love of her life, Clyde Phillippe in 1965 and shared 51 loving years together raising their family in Hammond. She was a long time member of the Terrace Park Church of God, where she was a Youth Leader and Sunday school teacher as well as a devoted member and retiree from the Hammond City School District after 35+ years of service to the community.
June enjoyed her time reading, sitting on the front porch watching and feeding her hummingbirds, going on adventures with her best friend Bede, playing bunco, and spending time with her family and friends.
June was a loving daughter, a kind sister, a wonderful mother, Grandma (G-MA), aunt, cousin and friend. Her light and inspiration will be missed by all whose life she touched in her years with us.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, service from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, officiated by Ed Cunningham and James Baker at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Road - 1 Block South of Ridge Road) in Highland, Indiana, 46322. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
