Kathleen Marie (Maloney) Jensen

Kathleen Marie Jensen (nee Maloney), age 66 of Highland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.

Born in East Chicago, Indiana, Kathleen was raised in Highland, where she spent most of her life. She worked for many years as a fast food restaurant manager, known for her strong work ethic and ability to keep everything running smoothly. Later in life, she faced Multiple Sclerosis with strength and resilience.

Kathleen found joy in life’s simple comforts. She loved watching MS-NOW/MSNBC, spending time with her beloved cat, Cuddles, and most of all, being with her granddaughter, Meadow, who brought her endless happiness. She was sharp, smart, and uniquely herself all the way until the very end.

She is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her daughter, Katrina Marie Lackhouse, her son-in-law, Timothy Joseph Lackhouse, and her cherished granddaughter, Meadow Marie Lackhouse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Taylor, in 2023.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral or visitation will be held. A private memorial dinner will take place this summer—her favorite season—to celebrate her life.

Kathleen will be remembered for her strength, her wit, and the love she gave so freely to those closest to her.
