Kathleen Ann Pulkowski age 82, of Valparaiso, IN and formerly of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 15, 2026.
Kathleen (Kathy) is survived by her daughters, Shelly (Gerald) Fischer of San Diego, CA and Shannon Pulkowski of Valparaiso, IN; brother, Michael (Sandra) Moore of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Michael (Kaylee) Fischer, Jack Fischer, Amanda (Cristina) Soliz, Samantha Sanecki, Melissa Sanecki, and Christopher (Cheyenne Wyma) Hoelle; great grandson, CJ Soliz; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Derek) Moore, Nathan (Sara) Moore, Molly Moore, and Angela Moore; and great nieces and nephews, Autumn Berry, Kaylee Ann Joyner Moore, Jackson Moore, Maxwell Moore, Emma Ashbaugh, and Elijah Ashbaugh.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Pulkowski, her parents, Matthew and Jane Moore, brothers David and William Moore, and sister Jane Noel.
Kathy was born March 6, 1944 and raised in Hammond, IN. She graduated from Hammond High School in 1962.
Kathy worked as a manager in the hospitality industry for many years. She was known by all for her positive outlook, kindness, and outrageous sense of humor. Her main goal in life was to shock people and make them laugh. She was treasured by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved playing Racko and card games, sharing stories and joking around. Kathy had a great sense of style. She enjoyed the hunt of shopping and rummaging for treasures for her home. And of course we can’t forget her devotion to Tom Selleck!
Kathy was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She thought the world of her family and always made sure they knew how proud she was of them and how much they meant to her. Kathy will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 beginning at 10:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am with Rev. Charles W. Niblick officiating at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN.
