Kenneth Nilsen Obituary

Kenneth John Nilsen, age 78, of Crown Point, IN passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 15th, 2025, at home. 

He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Barbara) Nilsen, James (Deena) Nilsen and Laura Nilsen; grandchildren Tyler Nilsen, Madison Nilsen and Noah Nilsen.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Nilsen, sister Joyce Krenner and daughter Gloria Nilsen.

Kenneth was born December 7, 1946, son of the late Arnold and Eleanor (Cisler) Nilsen.  After graduating high school, he served in the Air Force from March 15, 1966, until January 14, 1970, when he received an honorable discharge.  After the military he was a proud member of the railroad family, retiring after 37 years in 2007.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and shooting pool with family and friends. 

Burial will take place on Friday May 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
