Laura Beth Van Nevel

Laura Van Nevel age 45, peacefully passed away on Monday September 1, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her by her loving husband, Anthony 'Tony' Edwards; son, Alex Edwards; father, Robert Van Nevel; brother, Chris Van Nevel; numerous nieces, nephews and canine/feline pals, Rocco, and Zelda.

Preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Van Nevel.

Laura was born in Elmhurst Illinois on February 5, 1980 and was a graduate of Lake Central High School. She continued her education receiving her degree from Purdue Calumet. Laura was married to the love of her life, Tony Edwards. They settled in Schererville Indiana with their son Alex and pets Rocco and Zelda. Laura was employed at Olthof homes where she enjoyed her job and truly cherished the people she worked with.

Laura enjoyed vacationing with her family visiting numerous water parks. She spent her weekends with her family and visiting friends for lunch. She was an avid gardener, homemaker and a devoted mother.

Laura was a loving wife, sister, daughter, mother and cherished friend. She will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of life will be held at Hillside Funeral Home 8941 Kleinman Rd. (one block south of Ridge Rd) in Highland, IN on Saturday September 20, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 PM with prayer service to follow .

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to support the family with unexpected medical and funeral expenses or to Alex’s college fund in honor of Laura Van Nevel.
