Laurie Marie Carr

Laurie Marie Carr, age 36, of Griffith, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She is survived by her son, Connor Barnick and daughter Makenzie Morgan; Fiance, Brian Schultze; Mother, Tracy DeGoey & Step Father, Anthony DeGoey; Father, Bob Carr; Grandmother, Alice Darlene Knapp; Aunt Carol Skupnik; Sisters, Sarah Dark(Jeremy) & Katherine Carr(Matt); Laurie was a loving aunt to Liam, Gracie, Daphne & Todd.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carl and Lee Knapp and paternal grandparents Joan and Bob Carr Sr.

Laurie was a graduate of Morton High School, Class of 2003 in Hammond, Indiana.
Laurie was employed by Auto Warehousing Company in Chicago, Illinois as a scanner.

Laurie was diagnosed with Cancer and started treatment in October of 2021 consisting of Radiation and Chemotherapy.

Laurie loved video games and Harry Potter genres. Laurie was proud of her jewelry making business, Glitter Glamz Boutique and took part in various craft shows.

Laurie loved her children and nieces and nephews and she had a quirky sense of humor.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 21,2022 at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm with memorial service starting at 4:30pm.
