Lena Gail Schindler

Lena “Gail” Schindler (nee Cadle) of Lake Station, In.  Born in Middlesboro Ky, August 31st, 1949 to Hobert and Opal Cadle, the youngest daughter of 12 children.  Married Ralph Schindler in 1972 and raised 5 children – Teddy “Neal” (Tanya) Schindler of Alexander City Alabama, Tonya (Phillip) Lea of Lake Station Indiana, Steven Schindler of Lake Station Indiana, Seth (Jennifer) Schindler of Elberta Alabama, and Paul Cadle of Westville Indiana.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother of 10 grandchildren, great grandmother of 6, and aunt to countless nieces and nephews, who considered her a sweetheart.  She loved knitting, working puzzles, ice cream at the park with her family, telling others about God, and her time as a Sunday school teacher.  She retired from Hobart Township schools as a custodian of 14 years.  She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God in Black Oak (Pastor Lenny Russell) officiating.

She is survived by her ever loving husband and bestfriend of 46 years Ralph Schindler, all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 7 of her siblings - 4 brothers, Junior (Judy) Cadle of Monroe Michigan, Willard “Bill” of Hobart Indiana, Paul Cadle of Elberta Alabama, Tommy Cadle of Gary Indiana, and 3 sisters, Marie Mayville of Monroe Michigan, Brenda Pedroza of Deer Park Texas, and Rhonda “Louise” Cox of Monroe Michigan.
