Linda Kay (Gleason) Conn

Linda Kay Conn (Gleason), age 69, of Hammond, IN, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. She is survived by her children; Raymond (Melissa) Strain, Michael (Kathy) Strain, Lynda (Steve) Strain, Misty (Fred) Akers, and Tiffany (Felix) Gonzalez; grandchildren Haley, Ray (Bam-Bam), Riley, Kristina, Tiana, Michael, Joshua, Brittany-Lynn, Braelyn, Zachary, Madison, Eric, Corey, Lyndsay, Breanna, Jenna, Kaylee (Curly Q), Kara and many great-grandchildren. Siblings Jon Gleason, Gary Gleason, Alanna LaBarge and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband Wayne Conn; parents Jack & May Gleason; grandson Bryan Lloyd.

Linda graduated from Gavit Jr/Sr High School and immediately following started her family. She was a Sunday school teacher and room mother but spent most of her work life in the medical field. She retired in 2014 and while enjoying retirement loved helping her daughter with her business. Her family was the most important thing to her. She made friends everywhere she went; people adored her sparkling personality. She made everyone she loved feel like her favorite but we know it’s really her dog Foxy. She will be greatly missed.

Memorial Service will be held at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN, 46322 on Wednesday April 14, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Pastor Jay Callaway officiating. 

Per her request in lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward her final resting place in Hawaii.
